FCLab Finland and matata pilot program, spring 2021

Every year, TIME Magazine highlights inventions that are making the world better, smarter and even a bit more fun. The result: 100 groundbreaking inventions —including a smarter beehive, a greener tube of toothpaste, and technology that could catalyze a COVID-19 vaccine—that are changing the way we live, work, play and think about what’s possible. Matatalab has been given a special mention in Time’s best inventions of 2020. Matatalab is an official partner for the FCL.

The FCL labs of Joensuu and Jyväskylä will start a pilot project with matatalab in February 2021. The piloting will consist of training sessions for teacher students, hands-on sessions with the kids and webinars for professional development for the teachers of Finland (In cooperation with ATEA). The basic goals for the pilot are the use the matatalab sets to learn future skills and transversal competencies and combine knowledge with the content of the Finnish National Curriculum.
