FCLab.fi project showcased inclusive digital activities at the EAPRIL 2023 Conference.

A research and collaboration project on future digital skills from FCLab.fi presented its work at the EAPRIL 2023 conference in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The project, called “I Can Dig It!”, was carried out by a multidisciplinary team of researchers and teachers from the University of Eastern Finland and the Rantakylä Teacher Training School. The project tracked the progress of students’ communication skills, teamwork skills, and self-efficacy across various content areas. The project also supported students’ well-being in school and collected data on their experiences and interactions. The presentation was held by Juuso Pursiainen and Sampo Forsström.

The EAPRIL 2023 conference was organized by the European Association for Practitioner Research on Improving Learning (EAPRIL), a professional network that promoted practice-based research on learning issues in the context of lifelong learning. The conference theme was “Collaboration in education and educational research: Bridging differences for a common goal”. The conference aimed to explore the challenges and benefits of different types of collaborations in creating learning environments, research projects and innovations that offered opportunities for all. The conference featured a variety of session formats, such as presentations, symposia, posters, workshops, case studies, roundtables, and meet-ups.
